If you have a genuine and shared vision of working on self-reclamation of the spirit, the Clinic would love to work with you. Stoicism is one of the belief systems modeled at VVCC and it's facilitated in healthy, mindful moderations. When taught and used effectively, it means to teach the development of self-control to overcome destructive or distressing emotions. The philosophy holds that becoming a clear and unbiased thinker allows one to understand the universal reason of something. It also encourages individuals to focus on what they can control and accept, what they cannot, and to cultivate emotional resilience and inner strength.
Valhalla Visions Counselling Clinic provides provincially regulated counselling therapy for military veterans, first responders, front line workers including various health, medical and educational staff, and those who have experienced interpersonal and/or domestic violence.
In Norse traditions, when warriors have been killed in battle, they are brought to Valhalla to regain their strength. While this is not their final resting place, it is where they heal and prepare for the next step in their journey.
The Clinic recognizes that individuals can endure being at war with themselves. However, there is a time and a place when that war needs to end, and a healing site is needed to rejuvenate to become one's best self. Valhalla has the innate care and empathy to be ready, willing, and able to work with you for whatever your personal goals may be.
It aims to empower clients with a renewed sense of confidence and offers various forms of strategies for individualized healing and skill development. The Clinic also believes in genuine leadership to deliver a cohesive, personalized, mission-oriented program to all clitentele.
