Welcome to Valhalla
Hospitality & Privacy
Valhalla Visions Counselling Clinic has 15 years work experience in treatment centres and community residences to provide a safe, clean and welcoming visit. The neighbourhood is safe and on an active road with several businesses, car dearlerships and restaurants.
SETUP AND ROUTINE CLEANLINESS
1. The Clinic shares space with two other counselors who work for themselves at this time but they do not see clients often.
2. A sound barrier machine is located in the waiting room to block out others from hearing conversations.
3. The therapy space is set up like a living room. Feel free to sit where you feel is best for you.
4. Refreshments including flavored coffees, a variety of teas, juice and water is available.
5. Several sensory calming/stimulation items for anxiety and/or dissociation are on hand. A glider rocking chair is available.
6. Several floor lamps are set up so the overhead lights can be turned off if fluorescent lighting is difficult for you. This is helpful for those who may have a traumatic brain injury.
7. The room is cleaned and disinfected regularly, linens are routinely washed and the garbage cans are emptied frequently.
8. It’s appreciated if outdoor footwear could be taken off before entering the room. However, if you struggle with chronic physical pain, PLEASE do not feel pressured to remove your footwear.
9. Disposable masks, hand sanitizer and hand lotion are available in the waiting room.
10. A private bathroom is located at the end of the kitchen in the Clinic.
11. If you require anything otherwise to feel secure in the room, please let me know and I will accommodate you to the best of my ability.
Finding your way here

ARRIVAL
1. Travelling somewhere new can feel overwhelming. If you arrive late because you are feeling stressed, got lost or struggle with short-term memory you will not be penalized. If you need help, please feel free to call the Clinic at 506 642 5392 or email valhallavisionscounselling@gmail.com.
2. I can meet you at the door or walk you out if you require an accommodation. The Clinic is here for you.
3. There is a waiting area for clients but there is no receptionist. Please help yourself to anything in the main area.
Please be advised: VVCC encourages an understanding that it is not a crisis centre for emergency services.
